Hands-on food styling
Steam coaxed, sear seared, gloss brushed where it belongs. Backup plates standing by so the second take looks as fresh as the first.
Every service below is priced before we plug in a light. Plated stills, shelf-ready packaging, top-down recipe video, or a whole cookbook chapter — choose the one that fits, then book the date.
// set.A — plated & lit
Each shoot includes styling, lighting, color-graded retouching, and a private first-look gallery within 48 hours. Prices are fixed in your booking confirmation — the number you see is the number you pay.
// plated.hero
The hero plate, the overhead spread, the steam still curling — shot in your dining room or here on Delaney Dr. Built for the menu board, the website, and the feed that fills your tables on a slow Tuesday.
// shelf.sku
Shot to read on a crowded shelf and a small screen at once. Clean white-sweep for the storefront, or a moody pantry set when the label needs a story. Glass kept smudge-free, type kept crisp.
// reel.cut
Thirty to sixty seconds of sizzle, the knock of the knife, the last flake of salt landing. Top-down builds cut for Reels, TikTok, and product pages — sound designed and paced to keep a thumb from scrolling.
// chapter.set
Recipe-step sequences and full-page heroes styled to your manuscript's voice, with prop and surface continuity holding across the whole chapter. Print-resolution files, color-managed for the press.
Stack these onto any package when a shoot needs more hands, more frames, or a faster turnaround. Everything lands on your confirmed quote before set day — nothing appears on the invoice that you didn't pick.
Whether you book a single plate or a whole brand story, these four things come standard — they're the difference between a snapshot and a photograph that sells.
Steam coaxed, sear seared, gloss brushed where it belongs. Backup plates standing by so the second take looks as fresh as the first.
A soft key with a raked shadow that gives texture its weight — crumb, char, and condensation reading exactly as they would on the pass.
Every frame corrected to your brand's palette, retouched clean — keeping the crumbs that belong and clearing the ones that don't.
A private gallery with web and print exports sized for menus, shelves, and feeds. You book, we shoot, then we invoice — never the other way round.
“We changed nothing on the recipe. New photos went up Thursday, and that dish outsold the whole board by the weekend.”— a Tidewater bistro, after a Menu Day shoot
Honest answers on price, prep, and how the day actually runs — so there's nothing to puzzle over once the lights are on.
Yes. We quote a fixed price before set day from your shot list and any à-la-carte bolt-ons you choose. The invoice that follows your gallery matches that quote — travel beyond 25 miles is the only line that varies, and it's spelled out up front.
Either works. Most restaurants send a line cook with the dishes plated to spec; brands ship product ahead. We style and stand in backup plates on set — bring two or three of anything that wilts, sweats, or melts under lights.
Both. The studio at 302 Delaney Dr is built for controlled light and props; on-location days suit a working kitchen or a shelf set. We cover Suffolk and the wider Hampton Roads / James-River corridor — travel inside 25 miles is on us.
A private first-look gallery lands within 48 hours of the shoot — web and print exports together. Need it sooner? The rush add-on puts the gallery in your inbox the next morning.
Package shoots come with full menu, web, and social usage. Print, packaging, and broad campaign licensing is folded into the Brand Story tier or quoted per use — just tell us where the images will live and we'll sort it before set day.
Your gallery includes a round of retouch tweaks — crop, color, a stray crumb. If a hero plate truly missed, we'd rather reshoot it than ship something you won't post. Same two eyes grade every frame, so the look stays consistent.
Send the menu, the SKU, or the chapter. We reply within one business day with a shot list and a fixed package price — no obligation until you say go.
